The
Seven Days Director's Tour finished yesterday, completing a trek
around Australia screening the documentary in Adelaide, Hobart,
Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The
film was extremely well received at each screening. A lot of money
was donated to the Orphans and Vulnerable Children's Project in
Zambia, either as cash or through purchasing the DVD. As a director,
it's very rewarding to see people grab handfuls of the DVD to
give to relatives for Christmas. There was always a bunch of people
who said they had felt called to aid work for some time and watching
the film convinced them to finally take steps to making it happen.
One screening was even followed by an impromptu prayer session,
where all those in attendance prayed for Africa and the community
of Mwandi.
Overall,
the film was seen by over 250 people and raised over $1500 for
the OVC.
The
DVD is now available. To order online, go to: http://www.astounded.tv/store/shopexd.asp?id=88
